I am not a big fan of buying the latest greatest of anything.  I am one of those who likes to wait and see for just a bit.  This is especially true of software changes!  "If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!"
However, the new Internet Explorer version 7, IE7 for short, is an upgrade that I believe to be worthwhile.
Here are just a few of the features and benefits of IE7 and why we’re going out on a limb and recommending you upgrade:
  • Better Security – fewer holes for the bad guys to sneak stuff onto your PC causing you to spend money having us "fix" the problem.
  • Anti-Phishing security built into IE – Helps protect against malicious websites that are setup expressly to steal your identity or money….or both!
  • A more streamlined look – Gives you more screen area for viewing the web and less clutter.
  • Tabbed Browsing – Say what?  This is very hard to explain.  But here we go…you can have multiple websites open simultaneously within one IE7 window.  Man that’s a lame explanation but I don’t know what else to say on this.  But, I have my IE7 set to open 3 different sites simultaneously everytime I open IE7; Google and 2 news sites.
  • Better Printing – IE7 automatically makes printouts fit your printer!  No more chopped off pages!  Fantastic!
There are many more things that make it worthwhile and a tour is available.  To take a tour go to:  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/tour/fre/interface/index.html
We definitely feel it is worth the upgrade!

P.S. We still are recommending you avoid Windows Vista completely!
